GeoSignage is Content Management System with a user-friendly and flexible administration, which makes it easy to present infotainment in the right time and place. GeoSignage can manage infotainment from different organisations and systems, which is a prerequisite for creating an effective communication channel.
GeoSignage is used by transport and media companies
The users of GeoSignage are the transport and media companies that currently communicate with passengers in the public transport. The natural step in the industry is to offer better and more detailed information via displays – not only on stations, but also on buses and trains. GeoSignage enables transport and media companies to control the content on those displays in an easy way.

GeoSignage maximises the utility of a
display system
A display system is not worth more than the content, which is shown on the displays. To use the full potential of Digital Signage in the public transport, a Content Management System like GeoSignage, with the following characteristics, is required.
Show information at the right time and place
Distinctive for GeoSignage is the possibility for the user to decide not only when, but also where media is going to be played. The users can define their own areas and points, so called geofences, where something particular is going to happen. GeoSignage makes it easy to play media based on location.
Play different types of media from different systems
Traffic information, disruption information, news, entertainment and ads can be shown as videos, images, sounds and texts. GeoSignage can also collect and present data from other systems, e.g. arrival times, next stops and connections from a realtime system or current news from a news provider. The built-in media player ensures transitions are smooth and continuous.

Manage easily and cost-efficient
Over a larger geographical region, especially in cities, there are many places and areas where you want to show a specific message. To trigger media based on location in a traffic system with hundreds of routes and thousands of stops can, however, be difficult to administer and overlook. GeoSignage is designed to handle this problem and make the planning process easy and intuitive.
The user does all administration through a web application. Therefore, several stakeholders, e.g. a traffic company and a media company, can easily co-operate in the planning. GeoSignage is flexible and lets the user decide, and change, the level of detail on the position-triggering. Afterwards, the users can analyse exactly when and where certain information was shown.
GeoSignage is built to be user-friendly, so that the system does not require technicians to manage the system, but rather allows marketing and communications departments, which know what the passengers want, to control the communication channel.

GeoSignage is managed on the web
GeoSignage software is installed on computers that take care of playing the media on vehicles or stations. All administration is done through a web application, which synchronises automatically with the computers through the Internet. The synchronisation can be directed to certain times and places. The computers then work independently without Internet connection and will play the right information at the right time and place. The vehicle computers require connection to a GPS-device.
With a direct Internet connection, e.g. through 3G/GPRS, it is possible to collect real-time information from the Internet and the traffic control can transmit current disruption information.
